Evidence methodology

Make the source, state and boundary visible.

Atlas is designed to preserve the context behind property information. A matched identifier, an attributed source, a customer confirmation and a public field mean different things.

Visible states

Precise language prevents false confidence.

Identifier matched

A record has been associated with an identifier such as a UPRN. This does not prove ownership, title, authority or completeness.

Source attributed

The record identifies where information came from and, where available, its date or version.

Owner or organisation confirmed

An authorised workspace user has confirmed a relationship or field. This is not legal title certification.

Requires review

A person should assess the available information, evidence or date.

Missing or unable to determine

Atlas does not present absent or insufficient information as a verified fact.

Approved for publication

An authorised person has selected a field for the public projection. Private evidence remains private.

Professional boundary

Evidence supports review. It does not replace it.

  • Atlas does not prove legal title or ownership.
  • Atlas does not certify statutory or legal compliance.
  • Atlas does not provide valuation, planning, legal or investment advice.
  • Atlas does not guarantee that a record, search result or opportunity is complete.
  • Consequential actions remain subject to authorised human approval.
